- Tony Papadopoulos, Managing Director
Tony Papadopoulos established StaffMatters Recruitment Specialists in January 2006. A South African Cypriot, Tony left his successful 10-year career with one of the largest insurance companies in South Africa, where he quickly rose up in the ranks to manage one of the company’s large national call centres, to immigrate to Cyprus in 2003 with his family.
During his first two years in Cyprus he established himself in the Cypriot recruitment industry, including being one of the founding members of another recruitment agency in Cyprus, before branching off to successfully launch StaffMatters in 2006.
Tony’s entrepreneurial spirit and sound understanding of the Cyprus business market, combined with his excellent communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and genuine natural interest in people are the key factors behind the StaffMatters success story.
Apart from the daily management requirements of the company, due to his sheer love of the recruitment business, the satisfaction of making a difference in the life of a candidate and providing an excellent all-round service to clients, Tony is still an active member of the recruitment team and an integral part of the financial success of the business.

- Kasia Kowala, Recruitment Consultant
Kasia is a self-motivated individual with personal drive and energy. She had her own business where she was able to develop her own group of clients with the ability to understand their needs and requests. She is always very professional, punctual and delivers on her promises ahead of schedule, offering the highest level of service.
- Arlene Papadopoulos, Administrator
Arlene’s professional background involved mainly two disciplines: English language (a Bachelors degree) and software developer (ten years as computer programmer). Halted in her career tracks after the arrival of the first baby, followed a couple of years later by a second one, Arlene is now the Administrator responsible for maintaining the extensive communication between StaffMatters and our candidates, as well as keeping record of all such correspondence on our database.
Arlene also designed and maintained the previous StaffMatters website until the design of the new website was commissioned to the Perpetro Group. Writing and maintaining website content is still Arlene’s responsibility, as is the mediation of the company’s forum.
