Our client is an international company is focused on production, storage, transportation and distribution of oils and petroleum products. With 15 years of experience in the trading, blending and logistics of petroleum products, they have become a global player on the market. Today, they are primarily focused on base oils and lubricants physical trading and goods management, offering extensive product portfolio of Group I, II and III base oils, pale oils, advanced additives, finished lubricants, together with integrated services, including sourcing, processing, refining, transporting, storage, financing and supply of base oils and lubricants.

Tasks / responsibilities:
Chartering the most optimal vessel and work out most competitive freight rate for transporting chemicals by sea. This includes liaising with a variety of shipowners/shipbrokers, loading/discharge terminals, agents, STS and other service providers, independent surveyors.
Optimize ocean freight fixtures while meeting all sales and purchase requirements.
Coordinate processes with traders and follow up on post-fixing issues (issuance of LOIs, demurrage claims settlement etc).
Analysis - tracing of lube oil cargoes worldwide, collecting statistics of shipping.

Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience in commercial shipping - minimum 3 years experience in the chartering role
Knowledge of chemical tankers market with deadweight of 3-20 kt
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Fluency in English - any other languages would be an advantage
Knowledge of SAP or similar software will be an advantage
